The Waltham High School Class of 1967 Award
Your WHS Class of 1967 Reunion Committee
established the Waltham High School Class of 1967 Award in 2010. We
intend to offer the award annually to a graduating Waltham High School
senior. The award is given to a class member who is planning to attend a
two or four year college upon graduation. Preference may be given to a
relative of a WHS Class of 1967 graduate. Funding for the award comes
primarily from the annual golf outing. Individual donations are welcome.

The Award Recipients
2010: The
first annual Class of 1967 Award was presented to Martha Namatende.
Martha is a nursing student at Fitchburg State University. Martha was
awarded $500.
2011: Two members of the WHS
Class of 2011 shared the award. Each young woman received $300.
Morgan Richard is majoring in Communication disorders at Bridgewater
State University. She is the grand-niece of Louis Bartleman, a WHS ’67
graduate. Courtney Turmel is majoring in early childhood education
at Fisher College. She is the cousin of Barbara Everett and niece of Joyce
Howes, both WHS ’67 graduates.
2012: The recipient of the third
annual Waltham High School Class of 1967 Award was Michaela Gaudet.
Michaela will attend Bridgewater State University and major in psychology.
She was awarded $500.
2013:
The recipients of the 4th Annual
Waltham High School Class of 1967 award were
Anthony Scaltreto
and
Cody Porter.
Anthony will major in nursing at Fitchburg State University.
Anthony is the nephew of Mary (Naughton) & Joe Cacciatore. Cody, the grandson of Karen (O’Toole) Vinciulla, will attend Middlesex Community
College. Each student was awarded $400 at the end of their first
semester.
2014: The recipients of the 5th
Annual
Waltham High School Class of 1967 award were
Roger LaCroix
and
Elizabeth McGovern.
Roger, the nephew of Steven LaCroix, will major in computer science at
Brandeis University. Elizabeth, the granddaugher of Bob & Mary Ann
(Russo) McGovern, will attend Framingham State University. Each
student was awarded $400 at the end of their fall semester.
2015:
The recipient of the 6th annual Waltham High School Class of
1967 Award was Brenda Granados. She is majoring in psychology at
Emmanuel College and was awarded $500.
2016:
The recipient of the 7th annual Waltham High School Class of
1967 Award is Isaiah Campbell. Isaiah will major in
entrepreneurship at Lasell College in the fall. He will be awarded
$500 upon successful completeion of the fall semester.
